Yield: 2 servings
Prep: 5 minutes
Total: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
8 oz. Unsalted Butter
8 oz. Salted Butter
2 Medium Yellow Onions (finely diced)
15 Garlic Cloves (minced garlic)
2 tsp. Chili Oil (with chili flakes)
½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp. Paprika
1 Tbsp. Roasted Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
Black Pepper to Taste
Juice of 2 Large Lemons
Directions:
- In a large frying pan, on medium to medium-high heat, melt 4 oz. of unsalted butter. Next, add in the onions and cook until they are a golden brown. It will take about 15 minutes for the onions to be caramelized. Stir continuously, as you do not want the onions to burn.
- Add in the remaining unsalted butter and garlic. Stir in the garlic, melt the butter and cook until the garlic is fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Now, add in the chili oil chili flakes, cayenne pepper, paprika, roasted garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to taste. If you like a spicier sauce, add in more cayenne pepper to your taste.
- Finally, add in the salted butter. Once the butter is completely melted, take the sauce off of the heat, add in the lemon juice, and then stir until well combined. Divide the sauce into two portions, and serve with some shellfish.
- Enjoy!!
